Welcome to my page! I’m Diana(She/Her), a graduate student at Arizona State! I completed my Undergraduate Degrees early at Purdue University in both Chemical Engineering and Physics. I believe that the key to learning difficult subjects is to be taught in a way that is specific to the learner. I tailor my explanations and my lesson plans to match the needs of each individual student. Whether this ranges from homework help, to exam prep, or to just review and perfect difficult topics, I aspire to provide unique explanations and effective learning methods for each student. Whatever your individual needs are, I will be happy to meet them in the way that best improves your performance!

I’ve been a tutor for 8 years in a variety of subjects. I specialize in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics at any level, but I am very comfortable with general science and other fields such as Biology, Environmental Science, and Engineering Science. Additionally, I have tutored in American Sign Language, English, and Introductory Spanish.

Science is my life's passion, and I truly enjoy sharing that gift with others. There are so many amazing and fascinating aspects to the universe we live in, and sharing the tools to explore this is very important to me. Both of college degrees are in scientific fields, and my long history of science courses and education means that I am a proficient tutor in the scientific fields at even the most advanced levels. It is my pleasure to be able to help others learn how to approach problems in science and achieve a solid foundational understanding.

With online classes continuing for another semester, it’s very easy to fall behind due to the stresses of distance learning. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, and I look forward to working with you!

Caring, kind, amazing physics tutor!

Diana is the kindest tutor you will ever come across, period. She will listen to your questions and explain repeatedly if needed and never gets frustrated or disappointed. Before I met Diana I was thinking about dropping my physics course but after a couple of sessions she gave me the confidence to keep on going. She is also an expert on college level waves, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, optics, and circuits. I would have never made it this far in my course without her help. She is very flexible with her time and will try her best to accommodate. She also does not shy away if the problem seems tedious or frustrating. I was assigned many take home labs which I had at least six tutors reject me before but Diana was happy to take on the challenge. I would recommend her to any college student that is having trouble with physics.

Best Tutor, Best Teaching Style

Diana helped me with my college physics two, electricity and magnetism. Diana is by far the best tutor I have worked with. I really liked that I was able to talk about the solution method I was seeing, my intuition, and if I was going the wrong direction, Diana would help correct rather than take over like many other tutors. Diana was patient and has a very calming vibe when working with difficult material. I will definitely have more sessions with Diana.

excellent tutor

I would not have gotten through my Intro to Physics class without Diana. She is a better teacher than my physics teacher is, explains concepts very clearly, understands where people tend to get stuck, and is very supportive. I couldn't ask for a better tutor.

Very very patient!!

Diana was a very kind tutor and was willing to repeatedly explain concepts I didnt understand and break them down into smaller, easier ideas that I could grasp. I really enjoyed working with her!

Outstanding and Perfect!

Diana, is an amazing tutor. She is always there when my daughter needs her the most. Her skills and compassion for tutoring is awesome! I can not thank her enough for helping my daughter navigate and achieve success in her AP Physics class. Thank you so much!!

Very patient and knowledgeable of all material.

We went over physics and calculus 3. She knew all the material snd went over it in a way I was able to understand. He side me feel very comfortable and that no question was a dumb one.

Angela, 3 lessons with Diana

Excellent!!

We went over two step mole equations, valence electrons, how to predict a reaction of a chemical equation. She was patient, she answered all my questions and didn’t make me feel bad for what I didn’t know.

Super helpful!

Diana is enthusiastic, understanding, and encouraging. She never made me feel bad for having a hard time, even when I felt the answers should have been obvious. She was also really really accommodating to my weird schedule. Hugely recommend her!!

Great teaching!

Really helpful with a super understanding and calming vibe (essential if you get freaked out at the thought of physics). Looking forward to future sessions!
