Personal success is about how many people are better off because we lived...and we are able to influence!
Hello! My name is Sivakumar (Siva) V. I live in Arizona with my wife and two kids.
Originally from India, I graduated from Arizona State University with a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 99/2000. Since then, I've put down roots, and raised a loving family...right here, in the valley of the Sun! 20-odd years, and I'm still here!

My wife and I are both engineers, so, needless to say, we LOVE Math, Physical Sciences and Computers! Both of my kids have the bug as well; they're both straight-A kids with a knack for learning.
Professionally, I have been working in the Electrical and Computer Engineering and IT area from the last 20 years, and have witnessed the progress of technology through the years... from mainframes and 5 1/4" floppy diskettes, to modern-day mobile apps. As a result, I've become fluent in almost every element of technology:
AC and DC Circuits, Digital and Analog Electronics, Digital circuit theory, Hardware design, Systems Set up, Software development, and System architecture and integration, real-time computing, web technologies, and more. Almost anything from the past 20+ years; you name it, I've done it!
Suffice it to say, I've acquired a lot of knowledge over the years, but by far my favorite thing about my profession has been sharing my knowledge with students, peers, coworkers; and anyone who shares my passion for STEM!
Over and above my academics and my professional experience, I get immense joy when I share my knowledge with others. Don't worry about asking "dumb" questions or falling into slumps. I've gone through many of these myself. Thankfully, I've had many role models throughout my life who have guided me through phases like these, and that's the kind of guidance I want to share with others as well. Rest assured, the way I operate is that the success of the student is wholly dependent on the methods of the teacher.
In closing, although I have spent 9 years formally studying Electrical and Computer Engineering (3 years of trade school + 4 years of Baccalaureate Degree + 2 years of Masters), I do not feel I am done...because I like to constantly read and learn ...and One way I keep learning is by sharing my knowledge ...which puts me in a situation to keep up constantly!
So folks, I want you to give me chance to work with you and share my knowledge with you...and want to encourage you to open up to a new perspective in life long learning!

Wishing you all ...the very best and the brightest of futures...!
-Siva

I have nine years of Electrical Engineering Academics experience with 3 years of Diploma/Trade school+ 4 years of Baccalaureate degree + 2 years of Graduate/Masters degree from Arizona State University. Through my academic journey, I have studied various subjects under the vast umbrella of Electrical engineering from Electrical circuit theory and electro magnetics to Electrical machines (DC & AC) and Control systems, all the way to Boolean logic, Digital Electronics, Analog computing, Digital Computer Architecture to Machine language programming. Additionally, I have been working as a technology professional for the last 17+ years and have designed systems with traditional High Voltage control to Soft and SCADA controls. Through the journey, I have evolved with technology and currently work in Enterprise database applications, writing Database programs in C, C++, Perl and SQL just to name a few. I am exited to share my knowledge with those who are excited to learn.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor.

Siva was awesome! He patiently showed me a new way to break down circuits. It made the whole process much more approachable and I look forward to working with him again.
