Education has always been a passion of mine. I have enjoyed learning, teaching and assisting. I have been in school and continue on my educational journey. I have applied to graduate school to achieve my double Master's in both Music and Linguistically Diverse Education. I have also learned from my son and students. Children are phenomenal teachers if we allow them to be.
I, myself, am naturally a teacher. My Mom used to say I would correct my friend's English when I was small. I guess I found my path. I began teaching in 2000 in Rochester, NY. I was one of the two Music Educators in the building. I taught general music and had my own choir as well. Voice is my specialty and I love helping students find their potential. In 2007, I had a life-change. I had to step down from my Music Educating role for the benefit of my health and the health of my son. This was the hardest thing for me to do. I returned to find no job openings. Therefore, I began to apply for anything available. One of my passions being linguistics, I applied and was hired as an ESL paraprofessional. I have now fulfilled that position for the past 8 years. So, now it is time to further my career in both.
I am an amazing math tutor because when I was young, I struggled in math and I know how to simplify the task and make it fun for elementary age students.
I am a delightful physical science tutor because I had difficulties as a student understanding the concepts of science and I, now, can break it down in order for students to piece it together easier.

I am a fantastic Spanish tutor because as a child, my family and I traveled to Mexico yearly. I began learning Spanish in 7th grade continuing through college. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have researched the anatomy and physiology of the body when I, myself, was training to become a body builder. I have learned from a variety of personal trainers and received my own credentials - PiYo certification. I have a great motivation to help people reach their goals.
