About Vincent

Hello, I have been tutoring for just over a year now. I currently have an A+ certification, which is the basis to be considered a computer technician. I currently work in IT, and serve over 15 business in the valley with networking and computer assistance.

From this job is my current tutoring experience, I tutor a high school student from one of our client's offices. Having worked in IT for over 8 years now I believe I understand computer use enough to really help anyone. My daily tasks range from business level, to showing people how to use Windows and programs alike.

I also worked at GoDaddy for over a year, polishing my skills in web hosting and domains. My services would be best offered to people needing assistance using a computer, internet, web hosting and web design alike.

Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc), general computer use, web hosting/domain services/DNS, Microsoft Exchange services, Mobile device use, Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8/8.1, 10, computer/home networking, and social media/internet usage.

I have a lot of experience helping people just like yourself use a computer. There is a lot to the computer world, and most of my experience comes from helping people navigate and use a computer. I am very patient and understanding. Not all of us come from technical backgrounds, so if you're struggling I have no problem assisting in any way I can.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Microsoft Outlook

My Outlook experience starts in 2012 when I started work at a law firm as a network admin. I was the only IT for the entire law firm, and if you know anything about law firms Outlook is their primary programs as they receive tons of emails each day. I became very well versed in Outlook, which leads into my next job GoDaddy. GoDaddy offers email and exchange services so over my time there Outlook troubleshooting is a big part of the job. In addition, in my current job we service business that all use Outlook. I have done Outlook training and helped plenty of users with Outlook issues and use.

Microsoft Windows

Starting from my technical school in 2010, where we learned the ins and outs of all Microsoft Windows operating systems, until at my current job all I have done is perfect my skills in Windows. I've worked from Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8/8.1, 10 and Windows Server 2008/2012. I have become proficient in business and home use of Windows, I am completely comfortable with any version of Windows.

Networking (Computer)

At my law firm job, my responsibilities included setting up a whole new network for them. I was in charge of getting a new firewall, switches, and adding their workstations to a domain (roughly 15 workstations). I currently work at an IT MSP. Meaning not only do we service about 15 businesses, I have mastered the networking of each business and have become familiar with many kinds of networking topologies and systems. I also went to school for computer networking and administration for a year at DeVry.
