Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1 is a mathematical tool in which we are able to represent patterns using variables (in most cases 'x') and numbers. In other words, it is a short hand method of translating word problems into simple algebraic expressions. A strong background in Algebra 1 is a stepping stone that prepares you for higher advanced topics in mathematics. I have taught this subject for over 5 years. My methods are less complex; it entails step-by-step approach with assignments. More so, my Bachelors degree in Electrical Electronics Engineering and teaching experience qualifies me to effectively teach this subject.

Algebra 2 is a veritable tool that I use to translate presenting everyday arithmetical problems involving percentages, profit and loss, sequence and series (just to mention a few) into simple mathematical expressions that evaluate to valid solutions. I became proficient in this field after rigorous and extensive use and application of algebra during the sojourn of my bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics engineering. My expertise and hands-on experience in this field was heightened as I taught this subject in junior and senior secondary schools for over 5 years. My methods of solving algebraic problems involve a step-by-step simple approach that is less daunting and more importantly, easy to recollect (mnemonics when and where applicable).

Precalculus is one of my favorite subjects I like to teach. A good comprehension of this foundational topic is crucial in mastery of "mother" calculus. Bearing this in mind, my teaching methods entail qualitative and in-depth exploration of the topic coupled with tasks and assignments. My wealth of experience in this subject stems from the number of hours devoted in teaching this topic and my degree in electrical and electronic engineering.
