Arizona State University (Criminology)
Arizona State University-Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law (J.D.)
Phoenix, Arizona born and raised. I gained my undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice & Criminology from Arizona State University. I am graduating December 2015 with a J.D. from Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law. I have experience tutoring at Arizona State University for students in the residence halls while I served as a Residential College Student Leader. There I helped students grasp the concepts of their criminal justice classes. I also provided casual group tutoring on political science courses and history. If students wanted to schedule individual sessions I also provided them the opportunity for a more intimate one on one experience.
We will begin our tutor relationship by building an individualized lesson plan based on what task you are preparing for. This is where we will pinpoint areas that you need the most work on, and areas that can be strengthened and solidified for future assessments.
My education in criminal justice and law make me a great candidate to help you grasp the concepts needed to excel on your in person and online homework and tests. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a B.S. in Criminal Justice from a top school in the subject, Arizona State University. I have done clinicals and internships at the Attorney General's Office, the Superior Court of Maricopa County, and the Public Defender.
I then began obtaining my J.D. specifically focusing on criminal justice issues. I tailored my legal education to include many more criminal justice course this time focusing on how the court system interacts with offenders. I also have undergraduate tutoring experience with college freshmen in criminal justice.
I will receive my J.D. from a top 30 law school in December of 2015. There I received vast training on the political system. I studied domestic policy and also international policy at this school.
Again, this was a subject I would tutor to college freshmen when I was their Residential College Student Leader in undergrad.
