I have nearly two years of informal education experience working as a gallery interpreter at the Arizona Science Center. My favorite activity was Stop Think Solve, a discussion on how to work out complicated math problems with guests.
I currently am employed as a mathematics teacher for the BASIS network. I teach a variety of mathematics courses using SAXON math as well as AP Computer Science.
I love to talk math, and because of this, I am always looking for new ways to solve problems.

I have a motto, "There is no wrong answer, just a solutions to a question not asked." With this slogan, I love to try to make your way work before we try to tackle another method. Typically, the way you try to solve the problem is the way you are going to remember it in the future. As such if we can make your way work I would love to try it your way.
If you have not developed your way, I employ a "vocab to understand" strategy. We focus on clear mathematical communication as well as the standard drill and kill with examples.
I received my Bachelors in Mathematics at ASU. I have done private tutoring in the past. I was a gallery interpreter at the Arizona Science Center.
I am a certified instructor with the United States Chanbara Association with over ten years of experience.
I love doing maths and look forward to hearing from you.

Cancellations and Rescheduling
All cancellations and rescheduling must be through WyzAnt messaging at least 24 hours before the lesson start time.
If the lesson is rescheduled with notice more than 24 hours in advance of the lesson start time, there is no fee. If the lesson is rescheduled with notice less than 24 hours, a $15 fee may be assessed.
Note: While I can usually find a time to reschedule, it is not always possible. In those cases, it will be considered a cancellation.
If a cancellation occurs with no plan to reschedule, there is a $30 fee.
For no-shows, students will are charged equal to the full amount of the lesson. A student is a no-show if they are more than 15 minutes late.
In the case of documented emergencies or illness, exceptions are at my discretion.
Lessons will be charged according to their scheduled beginning and end times, regardless of whether a student is tardy or needs to leave early. If a student will be more than 15 minutes late and I receive notice that they're on their way, it will be up to my discretion whether to complete the lesson or consider it a no-show.
