Since 2010, I have been working as a freelance videographer and editor. I have worked with several local companies filming and editing weekly viral commercials; directing, shooting and editing documentary film for local recording artists and producing wedding videos for local couples and reception halls.
Prior to venturing into freelance work, I worked as an educational counselor with ITT Technical Institute and also applied my video background to help design electronic and print media content for special events, and produced videos. My daily duties there consisted of recruiting and enrolling students into degree programs and obtaining referrals. I also provided potential students with campus tours, student orientation sessions, and academic guidance. Within 6 months of employment I obtained the award for Representative of the Quarter for the September Quarter in 2010.
I am originally from El Paso, Texas where I learned my trade and had the opportunity straight out of high school in 2000 to work for Star Media Productions, KDBC Channel 4, KTSM Channel 9, and KFOX News at 9 as a Senior News Editor. I ensured timely and accurate post-production of the morning and the prime time show, and edited top stories and teases. My job also consisted of controlling outgoing feeds on a live newscast, supervising editorial staff, creating news stories and editing franchise packages for major magazines and journals. In 2006, I won an Emmy along with staff members for the El Paso, TX flood coverage.
I love helping people and working with individuals who share the same interest as I do. It truly gives me an opportunity to share my experiences and my knowledge with others.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been a video editor and a videographer for 12 years now. My first job, fresh out of high school, was managing a production department for an advertising agency. In 2003 I started working for Fox News local affiliate in El Paso, TX where I moved up to Senior Video Editor in 2005. In 2006, I won an Emmy along with my fellow co-workers on a video that aired during the August 2006 Monsoon Floods that hit El Paso and devastated several communities. In 2007 I left Fox and started working for CBS local affiliate where I helped developed a new local morning TV show that generated more viewers and paved the way for other local stations to develop similar programming. Finally in 2012 I opened my own freelance company where I produce music videos, TV commercials, and documentary videos for local clients in the greater Phoenix area.
