Our son was VERY resistant to the idea of having a tutor for Algebra I. However, after just one meeting with Hans, our son's attitude had completely changed. He left the tutoring session beaming and confident, and tackled his homework fearlessly (and without fighting it) afterward. He told us Hans made it "easy to understand" the work and he liked the way they solved problems side by side and talked about the results.
We really appreciated the warm and personable way that Hans had with our son. Very professional, but approachable and easy to talk to. Our son is actually looking forward to his next session--who knew?
Hans has tutored both my son and daughter in algebra, honors geometry and honors calc. They both consistently say that Hans is able to quickly assess what they're working on in class, and because he has a mastery over the material and can see where the students are struggling, he is able to clear up their confusion in short order. He's has an a great ability to connect with students. We would highly recommend Hans.

I had a session with Hans about Differential Equations and just... Wow. He made the concepts I was learning seem so simple. I will be sure to be meeting with him again!
My 9 year old daughter has struggled with math for the past year and a half. Having her run up to me after her session with Hans and ask when she would get to see him again for a session was music to my ears. She left her session feeling more confident and happy! Nothing I've ever seen before after studying anything math related. Hans is very easy to talk with. He's incredibly personable and related well with my 4th grader. He was on time and ready to tackle whatever she needed. In fact, they decided to just start from the beginning which was wonderful. We feel very lucky to have found him.

My Son went as far as saying that Hans is the smartest tutor he's ever met. I highly recommend Hans.
I just finished my second year at Grand Canyon University and this past semester I was in Business Statistics. This was definitely a difficult class for me. After I did not do so well on one of the exams for this class I decided I needed to get a tutor. I found Hans, read all of the reviews on him and I was really impressed with what I read. I quickly contacted him and set up a time to meet up. Hans helped me through my homework and helped me prepare for my other exams for this class. Once Hans started tutoring me, I saw a drastic change in my grade for this class, and the best part about it is that I actually started to understand what I was doing in this class. I highly suggest Hans. Not only is he a very bright, knowledgeable guy, he is also very accepting, kind and easy to get along with.
I just finished a tutoring session with Hans. It is the last week of my class, and I have been struggling thus far. I only wish I would have thought to do tutoring sooner!! Thanks Hans for your quick response and the outstanding session.

Microeconomics is not easy and the areas of it that Hans knew well enabled him to convey it to me in a way I could understand or relate to. There were certain areas, however, where he was admittedly rusty. But, I've heard he's great with statistics!
Hans has a gentle way about him. Explaining economics was very easy for my son understand. Hans certainly has the knowledge of economics and was able to "connect". I will certainly have him back again.
Hans really understands the subject he is teaching. He really helped me to understand my statistics homework. I did not even have a book or lesson notes when we met up but Hans was still able to understand what the teacher was asking. I will be calling him the next time I need help with my math homework. Thanks Hans!
My son just completed his third tutoring session with Hans. We are so fortunate to have someone so knowledgeable in statistics who is also patient, supportive, and thorough. As a teacher, I listen closely to the way he reviews and teaches and it is exactly what I would do with students. He is always prompt and ready to tutor. The best tutor I have ever experienced!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I've studied Calculus I, II, and III, applied calculus (sometimes labeled brief calc), and calculus for economists as well as differential equations and several integral calculus-based statistics courses. I first tutored Calculus at a college level in 2012 and though it is a subject students often struggle with, it remains one of my favorites to study and to teach.
I've been tutoring Differential equations at a collegiate level for 4 semesters and whether you're struggling to find the correct solutions or if you're interested in a more thorough grasp of the conceptual underpinnings I can help you with linear systems of equations, homogeneous equations, undetermined coefficients, reduction of order, phase plots, autonomous equations, Laplace and inverse Laplace transforms and free and forced vibrations as well as other topics.
I have studied economics through courses including econometrics, mathematical models for economists, international economics, developmental economics, money and banking, principals of investments, law & econ, microeconomic and macroeconomic analysis. I began tutoring economics, statistics and algebra at a college and high school level since 2011.
I have taken AP statistics, econometrics, and statistics designed for the behavioral sciences (three college courses) as well as statistics for engineers or mathematicians (three college courses). Some of the more advanced material I have studied includes the central limit theorem, moment generating functions, linear and nonlinear regression, Markov chains, independent random variables, covariance and correlation, expectations, and analysis of variance.
