Rolando helped me to understand each problem by asking questions to see what I knew and then thoroughly explained the correct answer. What was extremely helpful about Rolando was that he asked me what my thought process was on a particular problem and then explained to me the areas where I was wrong. His schedule is VERY flexible and I had no issues arranging times to meet. I would definitely recommend him to any student who is struggling in math.

My son has Op-positional Defiant Disorder (O.D.D.) accompanied with A.D.D. and A.D.H.D, which can be very frusterating for teachers, especially those who are not educated about the behavioral disorder. It's kind of like a whole lot of teenager-itis. You have to be very aware and acknowledge ALL of the little accompllishments that are made no matter how small they may seem to you or I and praise the child for those accomplishments - and then slowly after doing this they will allow you in their world to make suggestions with out just shutting you out completely and becoming cold and angry. It truly is an art and practice dealing with kids and people that suffer with Op-positional defiant disorder. Most people try to treat and teach them like the norm get VERY frustrated and just give up. It's is very sad and disappointing.

It was very refreshing to meet Rolando who immidiately came into our home and met with our 16 year old son (who we've been told by great therapists has a 5th degree black belt with his ODD.....Lol) They immediately started talking about things that interested both of them - sports, music, video games, etc.... Rolando showed interest in Jacobs interests and also expressed concern and frustration with mine when I explained how Jacob got left behind when he had to switch schools in the middle of Eighth grade during Pre-Algebra and then in Ninth grade he was placed in Algebra 1-2 with only half the knowledge he needed from the previous year. So our worst fear came to pass - even after tutoring at the school, with other students and even with a professional Tutoring school he Failed both semesters of Algebra 1-2. He became labled as the problem student - the teacher started sending him out of the classroom, giving him referrals to the principal, etc... because he didn't understand the work and she got tired of trying to "reach" and "teach" him.

Rolando has been patient and kind, and encourages Jacob. He knows how to communicate with my son in a way that gets the point across and also gives Jacob a feeling of empowerment especially when he gets the answer correct or is on the right track. Rolando doesn't allow him to be lazy but he also knows how to keep him from building walls. Rolando makes sure that my son KNOWS that HE CAN DO IT and that HE IS SMART and that Jacob

He helped me learn a bit of coding for my final in my web design class. Thanks to him I was able to finish my homework on time even though I contacted him a day before. Thanks you!

Rolando is a great tutor, he teaches concepts in a very simple and relatable manner. He makes something that's always been intimidating to me very easy to understand.

I am an older student and math has never been my forte. Rolando was patient with me and so approachable. He helped me more in 60 minutes than any of the math professors ever have. I will definitely come back for more help.

Rolando is very mindful of his students abilities to achieve well. He knows everyone is different and learns different and takes that into consideration when teaching. He is very understanding which allows him to invest a great deal of effort and time in order to get you where you need. His knowledge in math has allowed me to grasp concepts that I was taught, without careful explanation, years ago. What stands out the most is probably his desire to help students be successful in math.

Rolando adapts to his student's abilities and applies much-needed patience. Additionally, he sees areas of opportunity for improvement while using time effectively. Great experience, look forward to continuing tutoring sessions with him.

Thank you, Rolando.

Rolando is a conscientious tutor and was good at communicating complex subjects in a way that was always easy to understand. He was also flexible with scheduling and took the initiative to find a good meetup place for our session. The only reason I'm not giving him the full five stars was that some of his knowledge of PHP was a little out-of-date, but it definitely speaks to his intellect and adaptability that he was a great help regardless.

Rolando has been working with our daughter to wade through her Trig/PreCalc homework. This is very challenging material and Rolando has been able to lift the weight and make the learning more fun. He has helped to raise test scores which is huge. Additionally, he is easy to communicate with and schedule appointments. We highly recommend Rolando.

Rolando was a great tutor assisting me to better understand the mechanics of .php and the relationship with MySQL. He was able to take what seemed like a complex concept and explain it in a straightforward manner. He was prompt for our session.

My daughter is not a big fan of math but Rolando was able to find a way to get her interested in what she was learning. My daughter kept talking about her next assignment and how excited she was to have Rolando come back again! Thanks Rolando!!

Rolando is very helpful. He showed that he was knowledgeable about the subject, and he also was very patient since English is my third language. He is also easy to reach, and he is willing to work through Skype in case I need extra help.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Adobe Flash is one of the most powerful web application creators available. Through vector graphics, and smooth animations, sites can provide a great experience for their users. I have taken several workshops from Adobe to learn how to use the software and can share that information with others.

As a Mathematics Teacher, I understand and can very easily explain all Algebra 2 material in many different ways to make sure the student understands the material, the theory and the thinking process behind the math. Transitioning into exponent work, complex numbers, log problems and other higher level thinking concepts requires careful planning and efficient work.

Calculus is one of my specialties. I enjoyed it in High School and in College. It was actually the class that made me decide to become a teacher! I often work with Calculus AB students and college students taking Calculus I, II, III, Business Calculus, Multivariate and more. I do my best to make it fun and not as intimidating as the usual professor does. I can patiently explain problems in a way that any student will understand. Finding the way you learn is my goal.

Dreamweaver is a great tool for editing just about all web languages. It allows for integration of multiple sever languages and database access for live testing of scripts. I like to use it for it's simple "notepad" like approach to code editing and it's extensive library of code hints. I have been using this software for well over 10 years before it was even part of Adobe's line up.

As a High School Math teacher, I know what it takes to learn all the fundamentals. Basic math is the foundation necessary for later down the road. I can help any student understand and master Elementary math and prepare them for more advanced math later on in their school career.

Computers have come a long way in the last few years and understanding them is key in order to use them to their potential. I can explain and help anyone understand what their computer can do so that they can get the most out of it.

The change from Algebra concepts to Geometry concepts is difficult for some students. Geometry requires spacial reasoning which some students need time to develop. I am able to give students the tools and language development so they are able to excel in the class. Geometry requires a different language and being able to understand as well as speak that language is crucial to success in the class.

I've been writing HTML for over a decade. I know the syntax and can easily explain it a student. I know how to make all code comply with all browsers as well as the W3C Schools.
