After learning German in high school and majoring in German in college, I lived in Germany, where I married a German and ran a restaurant. As a result, I spoke German exclusively with native speakers on a daily basis. In fact, I continued speaking German as my primary language for the first 3 years after returning to the US.
After returning to the US, I obtained my master's degree in education. I have taught both HS German and English as a Second Language. I've tutored people in German and done freelance translation.

Great teacher... If you are interested in learning German, she is the one to call. Sharon made the lessons enjoyable and instructive even when I wasn't very prepared. I would recommend her highly to any student.
Sharon is a very gifted and knowledgeable German tutor. She has helped my daughter tremendously. My daughter enjoys her tutoring sessions and her grades have improved quite a bit. I highly recommend Sharon! So glad we found her!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I learned German in high school and majored in German Studies in college. I lived in Germany for six years as an adult, first as an exchange student for two semesters and then as the owner/operator of a restaurant. I also taught high school German for several years.
As an instructional designer writing training materials for a Fortune 500 company one of my responsibilities was proofreading my own work and that of my peers. This included reading for spelling, grammar, duplicated or missing words, flow, and general readability. I also proofread and edit materials for a PhD candidate.
