Previously, I completed an internship providing reading and writing tutoring for children from second grade to high school. I also was able to help with some elementary math and science homework when my students needed some extra one-on-one help.
As a student, I know how frustrating it can be to feel overwhelmed by a subject. As a tutor, I am patient and do my best to make lessons easy to follow, so I can foster confidence and academic success for my students. I love seeing the smiles and relief that washes over students when concepts start to “click” and make sense.
I spent a semester interning with Jacob’s Community Center tutoring children in elementary math. I worked both one-on-one and in small groups of 2-3 students.
I have studied various topics and theories within psychology and am always a top performing student. I can provide tutoring for lower division (college freshman and sophomore) students.
I am pursuing an English minor at ASU and have taken many honors level courses prior to transferring to ASU. I am highly skilled in both creative and academic writing. I also am familiar with both APA and MLA formats.
