For the past year, I was employed as a Acting teacher for a talent agency Here in Phoenix Arizona. Each class I taught had anywhere from 5 to 13 students. I Taught Film, television, commercial work and improv.
At the end of every class students had to write critique expressing what they thought and how they felt about the class and... Well.. Me, their teacher. The critiques about me were consistent in saying that my lessons were fun and done in a way the students best understood, that I was a talented, funny character. Students would frequently state that at the conclusion of each class, they left feeling amazed and excited about how much they had learned and the tools I taught in each session on how to become a successful actor.
Performing is in my blood. I am an actor and committed to the entertainment industry. I want to be a private tutor because I want to be able to Concentrate On one Client at a time. Now, not everyone has the talent to be a professional actor. Before agreeing to train a potential client, The client would need to do an audition for me. At the audition, There will be script reading and some improv. Talent and personality is a key ingredient for an actor. Once auditioned, I will decide if it's beneficial To start training.
The training will be one-on-one For the first few sessions, then one to two other acting students will attend certain lessons together. The number of classes needed depends on each individual client.
I expect all my actors I train to care about what is being taught and to take the training seriously. The entertainment industry is a fun job for the talent (Actor or performer) but professionalism and attitude are key attributes one MUST have to succeed ones goal. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
