I have tutored youth and adults in the same. The method I have learned to teach them is not long and drawn out and it increases their self esteem. Using this method adults and youth have been to taught how to spell correctly in one session. I graduated BYU 1956, U of AZ 1962, took education classes at U of California Riverside in 1963. I then taught at High School for 4 years. I moved to Cerritos College 11 years and to Missouri for 4 years. In 1988 I came to Mesa and taught Biology, Chemistry and ESL content for 11 years. I do not smoke nor use alcohol. I am 77 yrs old and in very good health. I love to teach, especially those who want to learn. Before I found Edson, I was well-beyond struggling in my genetics class. My teacher actually warned me about failing. Edson started helping me and really took the effort to make sure I was understanding the material. His methods of teaching are, by far, the best I have ever had. Thanks to his help, I have been passing every exam and brought my genetics grade up to a B. He also has helped me do better on some of my ecology exams. I highly recommend him for any student who needs extra help.
Why I recommend Edson? I recommend Edson because he is a great teacher. I'm not just saying it. Why is that? Well because he teach me the rule of reading. I feel that it is important to know the rule of reading before we start reading because of better understanding. So if you are looking for a tutoring teacher check out Edson because once again he is a great teacher. Trust me on this. Thanks again Edson!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
