I'm prepping for my next NCLEX exam and had been studying on my own and recently with Kaplan. Dr. Rhodora shared strategies during my practice, guiding me through and build confidence. She listens attentively and lets me share stories which is nice to be comfortable. Thank you so much!
I have in the past struggled with effective reading strategies and effective studying. Rhodora gave me great ways to solve both issues.
Dr. Rhodora was awesome, she took the time to review my grades in each of the areas of my last NCLEX exam. She gave me ideas on how to study as well as a study plan. I will definitely review my friends and family to spend some time with Dr. Rhodora.
Rhodora is a great tutor. She is very patient and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs tutoring.
Left the statistics appointment even more confused about the subject than when I went in. She was not prepared. She actually told me that I should just keep memorizing the answers and hope I never have to take the subject again!
It is not true what she is saying. Statistics is not an easy subject, and I cannot teach her the whole book on Statistic for only one hour session. This is too much to expect that a student who does not comprehend Statistic who desires to master it should know everything about Statistics in one hour. One hour is not enough to teach her everything. The student mentioned she had a photographic memory, and as a result, I advised her to utilize that talent, but not to mean that is all she should do.
My daughter needed tutoring in Algebra. I started frantically looking into tutoring services but found that they were relatively very expensive- I wanted my daughter to have the one on one tutoring so that she could feel comfortable and actually learn and benefit from the lessons. Rhodora is very patient, knowledgeable , and has an amazing ability to simplify the difficult formulas of math in a heart beat. She knows what she's doing and actually enjoys teaching. I am very satisfied with her tutoring. She reassures my daughter that she can do anything she sets her mind to, She's empowered my daughter to have confidence and is giving her the tools necessary to succeed! I highly recommend her! She is a fantastic human being.
Rhodora not only boosted my test scores up a whole grade, but in less than two weeks had me ready for my final exam which I passed with an 80%. Thank you for explaining so clearly, in ways that I could understand. I will be contacting you again when I go back to school for my BSN and Masters.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have personal and various experiences with Bible reading. The Word of God is truly strong and powerful and it gives life. I have studied the New Testament and very familiar how to apply it in the real world. I also attended the Southwestern Bible College in which I audited two courses related to the new and the old prophets books in the Old Testament. My classmates where enrolled to become pastors. In 2003, I felt that I had a calling to speak for God in the congregation and so I decided to study the Bible more in depth. If you are interested in Bible studies, I can help you learn how to read it and interpret it according to your circumstances.
Public speaking is one of my strengths. I developed this skill when I was enrolled in the Master's program in Nursing at University of Phoenix in 1999 until 2001. I had routine class presentations almost every week and received feedback from colleagues and professors to improve and evaluate the public speaking skills and presentation skill.
Currently, I am a reader for the whole congregation in the church almost every month since 2007. Even though this is religious in nature, it has the nature of a public speaking also. I also taught Senior and Junior students at Arizona State University, College of Nursing, in the clinical setting for two and a half years which includes pre and post conference where I do presentations and teach the students at the same time.
In addition, I am a Ph.D. student in Health Services and it is my goal to further improve my presentation and public speaking skills. It is my belief that there is always a room for improvement and that is my desire for you.
I have unique background in religion, because there was a period in my life in which I wanted to explore and be open to any religion. I understand the concept of a born again Christian, as well as, Catholicism. I also know about other religions based on Christian principles. I read the New Testament Bible, and I am very familiar about its real world application.
If you have any interest in religion, my background will allow you to explore it in detail because I can teach you whatever are your queries. I attended Southwestern Bible College in Phoenix, Arizona for two quarters, and audited courses related to the Old and the New Prophets. My classmates were all trying to become pastors.
I am currently a Ph.D. student in Health Services. I also have a Master's Degree in Nursing in 2001, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 1998, and Associate Degree in Nursing in 1995. I also graduated as top 10 of the high school students in 1993 and named as Who's Who Among High School Students. I was also an honor roll student when in elementary school. As a result, I have developed study skills that can be applied to any needs of the students at all level.
I have an interest in curriculum develop in which it is based on the needs of the students and their learning strategies. I also know about the concept of metacognition in which you determine what you know and what you know. Every learner should have metacognition strategies to learn successfully in school. I will impart this knowledge to you because it is my goal to learn and then, teach what I know.
