College For Recording Arts (Recording Eng Audio)
I have been in the music business for almost 30 years, as a CD Mastering Engineer; studio owner and manager at a CD manufacturing facility. I have national & international credits on over 5,000 recordings. My area of expertise would be helping to develop musical talent for a future in recording/production, marketing, promotion or academic pursuits. I also offer guitar instruction to beginning or intermediate students, ear/hearing training and technical advise on studio build-outs/acoustics. If you have a need to develop chops in the audio/studio/production capacity, I'd be glad to lend a hand.
My spare time is spent on the golf course and I've been lucky enough to gain instruction from some great coaches. I can offer a sound technical overview of beginning or intermediate players swing, and get the player on track to a lower average score. I enjoy helping people go from the (typical) frustrations of the game, to seeing the fruits of a repeating, working swing and ultimately, more fun on the course. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been a serious recreational player for 30 years; lowest handicap achieved was 6. I have been a golf instructor (non-PGA) for 15 years with various beginning and intermediate level players. I have been a guitar player and student since 1975, as music is the largest part of my personal and professional life. I have taught beginning and intermediate level players for 20 years. I can custom tailor lesson plan to develop desired end result.
I have been an advanced level player for 15 years, and play Texas Hold 'Em typically 2-4 days per week. My game sizes range from 24 to over 100 players and I enjoy discussing the psychological & mathematical aspects of the game. I have been fortunate to spend time in the company of some great players and experience many learning stages in my career. Poker is a game that you never really stop learning and I can offer my take on the endless possibilities that each situation presents.
