Are you interested in Japanese culture? Do you want to work in Japan or work with Japanese people? Do you want to watch Japanese Anime in original without subtitles? Or are you planning to visit Japan? Let's learn this interesting language with Kanako, who is a native speaker of Japanese, a certified teacher for Japanese as Foreign Language, and enthusiastic about helping you learn!
In 2009, I completed an online course to teach Japanese as a foreign language in English, and in 2010, I passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test, which is considered as one of the required qualifications at most Japanese language schools around the world. Since then, I have been teaching Japanese to various types of people who have all different kinds of goals and needs, including teenagers, college students, and business people. I also taught college classes for two semesters from beginner level to advanced. (Then, unfortunately I had to move to another state...)
I am very ready to meet students' needs, and also ready to offer different kinds of materials to develop your Japanese skill.
I've just started living in Glendale, AZ, and I can offer lessons at my place.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
