For four years during this time, I also was an adjunct faculty instructor at Chandler Gilbert Community College teaching Introductory Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra and Mathematics for Elementary Teachers. I developed a problem-solving process which teaches students how to take tests successfully, both teacher-created tests as well as standardized tests. My personal education includes a BSBA degree from the University of Arizona and an MBA degree from The American University.

In addition to having a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Arizona, I also have a master's in Business from The American University. Additionally, I worked in the business world as a new homes sales manager in the real estate industry for six years while also being heavily involved in marketing research and management consulting.

Public Speaking

As a high school teacher, I engage in the practice of public speaking every day I go to work. I have been teaching for 19 years. Additionally, as the men's head basketball coach of a junior college team, I was often asked to give speeches at fundraisers and banquets. I have written a number of speeches, and also written a book emphasizing motivational speeches given by coaches. My education includes a BSBA degree from the University of Arizona and an MBA degree from The American University. I also earned a postbaccalaureate in secondary education from the University of Phoenix. During my master's degree program, I was required to give speeches to strategic management students which were designed to inspire an audience about emotional business-related subjects. Examples of these speeches including addressing an audience acting as the President of a company announcing necessary layoffs forthcoming. Other speeches addressed positive subjects such as an announcement about proposed salary increases. In all such speeches, the goal was to leave the audience feeling like winners or at least finding compassion with the content of the speech.

Amazing tutor!!

I was very nervous prior to meeting Mark. I’ve traditionally struggled a lot with even simple math. Mark was punctual, kind, patient, knowledgeable and extremely helpful to me. I am facing an upcoming test that is known for its difficulty. In less than an hour, Mark had shown me how to successfully complete the first practice math problem. By the end of our 2 hour session, I had completely solved ALL of the practice problems! Anyone who needs help with one on one tutoring would greatly benefit from Marks help. I will absolutely recommend him to anyone I know!
