I am very passionate about tutoring. Being in school my whole life, I understand and value the importance of education. When not working on my own studies, I've dedicated much of my time to helping others with theirs. I have tutored at the middle school, high school, community college, and university levels in both one-on-one and group settings. I have done both private tutoring and tutoring for school tutoring centers. I am a certified tutor by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA), level 2. I taught an accelerated, college-level math course over the summer.
I have a B.S. in mathematics (emphasis in statistics) and an M.A. in statistics. I plan to get my Ph.D. in statistics this summer. I've completed everything but my dissertation.
I love tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to (sort of) teach before I'm qualified to take on a full-time teaching position which is my terminal career goal. I enjoy sharing and strengthening mathematical knowledge and problem-solving/watching the problem-solving process.
I can tutor for any level of mathematics, probability or statistics. I have some experience with R, SAS, Stan, Stata, SPSS, MATLAB, and Excel.
