I'm a retired United States Air Force Officer (LtCol) with a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering and two master's degrees. I served as a hospital administrator/squadron commander in Japan, Korea, and Germany and taught facility management seminars for classes for both large (120 attendees) and small groups. After serving in the USAF for 26 years, I worked at a local community hospital running a children's health department where I taught a department of 35 how to use a new electronic medical record system.
I enjoy many hobbies -- genealogy, tennis, gardening, reading, and travel. I am a member of the library board, serve as a volunteer in the local VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistant) program, and teach genealogy at a local genealogy history center. I also volunteer at the Literacy Center where I helped establish a new pre-GED math program.
While teaching math, I learned that I love preparing material and teaching. I also love finding different ways to help each individual become proficient the many topics in math.
I'd love to help you or your child enjoy learning math!
