Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I specialized in astrophysics for both my undergraduate and graduate physics degrees. I have been a teaching assistant for astronomy classes on multiple occasions, and have completed extensive graduate coursework in astrophysics myself. I have also engaged in approximately 2 years of astrophysical research.

As a physics undergraduate and graduate student, calculus was the language of my degrees. I took many college mathematics courses, including upper division, and have used calculus on a daily basis for the last 7 years of my life. I find it to be among the most interesting and useful mathematical subjects.

I have Masters and Bachelors degrees in physics. Throughout both undergraduate and graduate school, I worked as a teaching assistant for the schools and privately as a tutor. I am passionate about the subject and helping others succeed in it.

I have used Calculus in my daily life for the past eight years. I know the fundamentals very well and can teach basics to prepare students to learn Calculus. I currently tutor many Pre-Calculus students at a local community college and find it to be rewarding and engaging.
