I came to the United States 25 years ago from Beijing, China as a graduate student to study at Queens College of New York. I have experienced various career changes in my life, but what I have learned the most about myself from these positions is that I pride myself in integrating my Chinese culture and values in my projects and connecting people to the world of Chinese language, customs, and history.
Prior to living in the US, I taught English to Chinese students in Beijing, and now I am happy to tutor Chinese to students in the U.S. as I see more and more of an interest in travel, study, and business to be done in China. In Arizona I have worked mostly in Information Technology and Web Design, while my most recent work is in Real Estate. I believe the best way to learn a language is first to understand how to pronounce the different characters and words, and then to discuss a current event topic. China is constantly changing and by looking back to history and using examples from modern China, we can best learn how to apply Mandarin in different contexts.
I believe my background would complement your Chinese language tutoring needs across both academic and business settings as I have had to tutor my son and daughter in their Chinese classes and now handle Chinese clients who need real estate advice.
Please message me if you are interested in having a great Chinese tutoring experience please feel free to message me!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
