Public Speaking

Throughout my career in Christian ministry I have often conducted training and seminars for educational purposes where it is necessary for me to utilize my skills in public speaking. Having addressed crowds as large as 800 persons, I am quite comfortable with public communications. Throughout my experiences as public speaker I have learned how to communicate within the allotted amount of time a concise, direct and meaningful presentation. Additionally, I have mastered the methods that allow for presentations to be given from memory, using no notes or TelePrompTers.

Religion

Prior to transitioning into the educational field I pastored in urban Christian churches. As a result, much of my educational training has been in regards to Christian religion, particularly in undergraduate and graduate studies, however I also have taken classes where world religions are the primary focus. Additionally, I have practical and academic experience working with individuals of other faiths and have written several papers on the topic of dialogue among persons of different faiths.

Having acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology has helped me fulfill many of my career goals thus far. Working with people has always been my passion, helping people has been be the motivational catalyst. For me, sociology has given me the tools to think sociologically in terms of working and helping people in settings such as drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, counseling and Christians ministry. Academically, the mastery of sociological concepts has served as a foundational resources for analysis and research methodology.
