Hello to all parents and students who are looking for a good match to their special needs!

I have over 25 years of Special Education teaching experience in Texas, Arizona and California. I have taught resource, mild and moderate intellectual functioning, behavior problems, severe and profound, and traumatic brain Injury students. The majority of the time for 5th through 8th grade students with several years experience with K-12 students. Tutoring experience has been with 1st through 8th grade students, with a private company and homebound in my district.

My strengths are in teaching math and reading between the 2nd and 6th grade ability level. I earned my BA in Physical Education, Industrial Arts and coaching in Iowa and MA in Special Education and Reading in Texas.

I look forward to hearing from you and discussing how we can help your child!

My undergraduate degree is a BA in physical education/coaching emphasis k-12 and industrial arts 7 -12. I have been a fitness instructor (not certified) in a family owned health club in the 80's. Sports are still important to me. I wrestled, ran track and played football in high school. I coached wrestling for a kids club and assisted the high school JV and Varsity coach. I have coached Jr. high track and field, baseball, football and basketball. I am still workout/exercising 3-5 times per week.

Golf

In college I began playing golf after learning and practicing in a beginning level class. I improved to scores under 100 most of the time. Being a student and fan of the game, in addition to being a teacher/coach I can observe, share and guide learning progress.

Track and field is still one of my favorite sports. I have run in high school competition, learned in college classes and coached Jr. students in track and field. Physical Education and coaching emphasis (industrial arts minor) are my undergraduate degree.
