About Paul

I am uniquely qualified to be a tutor or teacher in a number of different areas. First I have received degrees in Biology/Anthropology, Intercultural Communication, and most recently, a second Master's degree in Education. I have taught at K-12 and the college level both in the United States and abroad for over 25 years. At the Maricopa Community College system I was qualified to teach Anthropology, Biology, Business, Computer Science, and Communication.

I have successfully tutored hundreds of students. In addition I have had a business career for almost the same length of time. This includes seven years working for the Japanese government and private industry and as a sales manager for both the semiconductor and electronic security industries. I have the real world experience which makes teaching more relevant. It is essential for a teacher to make his subject relevant to the student. My method is to make the subjects I teach have meaning and excitement for the student and to find ways to make a connection with whatever interests the student may have. I have written or co-authored several books and numerous magazine and newspaper articles. My command of the English language is excellent. When you hire me as a tutor you will get all of this education and experience in one complete package.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
