I want to tutor, to help those get a head start on college or their career. Also can help those who may have fallen behind to various circumstances.

I have used Excel for over 10 years now and taught it as the dual enrollment class (CIS 105) for SCC. I use Excel still for various reasons in my classes.

I currently teach graphic deign I, II, III at my school. I have also taken classes at SCC to help me keep up to date on graphic design. These classes are some of my favorite as I get to see students creativity.

I have been using Photoshop since 2009. We use the program in yearbook and in graphic design. Also, have experience in Adobe Bridge and Lightroom.

Feel free to contact me if you are looking to get a head start or need to catch up on work.

I currently teach graphic design I, II, III at my high school and have been teaching this for the last four years. I have used Illustrator in my Art 169 class at Scottsdale Community College, Two-Dimensional Computer Design. I teach my students Illustrator in graphic design when we are making ads, posters for the theater department and so on. In my graphic design II class, they only use Illustrator in the first semester. I personally use Illustrator for logos and other projects so I may promote my other classes. Illustrator is important program when working with clients. I teach my students how to use the pen tool in graphic design I and the importance of vector art and how it's scaleable. In graphic II we will use image trace and create a variety of projects including calendars, minimalistic design, etc.

Graphic Design

I have been teaching Graphic Design for the last five years. I currently teach graphic design I, II III at the high school level. With my first year students, I start with Photoshop and I have been using this program for 10+ years when I started in yearbook with the program. Assignments we have used Photoshop for at concert posters. concert tickets and other various posters. Photoshop is the main program for one to edit photos they want to use in other Adobe programs. I have used Photoshop with my class I took at Scottsdale Community College to help with my poster and ad project. I use Photoshop often to help make ads for our yearbook program and teach my students the basics in this program, so they can use it in Illustrator and Indesign. My graphic II class spends the entire second semester using Photoshop using brushes, lightning etc to enhance comics. Photoshop is an excellent foundation to get one hooked into graphic design.
Photography

Photography

I have taken Art 142 Digital Photography at Scottsdale Community College. I have also taught photography at my high school for the last ten years. Most of that time has been teaching my yearbook students how to take better photos. Each year I instruct our class on what it takes to be a photographer and show them examples of my work over the years. I also taught the photo class on campus for three years. I teach the yearbook staff how to use our camera equipment (6D Mark II, 70D, 60D and may different lens's). We also have a light studio at school where we do portraits for the yearbook class. Photography is a passion I enjoy personally and I enjoy teaching students how to improve their photo techniques.

Marketing

I have been teaching business and marketing since 2006. I am the DECA advisor for my school and my marketing class is approved for dual enrollment at Scottsdale Community College. We start the year talking about the 4 P's (Price, Product, Placement and Promotion). We will also discuss the stock market, SWOT and talk about current events in business and entrepreneurship. I talk with my students on a daily basis how marketing is all around us and how we are marketing ourselves on a daily basis. Marketing is all around us whether we realize it or not. We discuss personal finance so students are better prepared for life after high school.
