I've been teaching for a long time-- and I can't stop! Retired from teaching Writing, English, and the Language Arts in both public and private K-12 schools and at the college level, I currently teach English as a Second Language to adults in the Family Literacy Program through Northwest Technological Institute and Springdale Public Schools. I also tutor because I just love seeing students become successful and blossom. I firmly believe that "nothing succeeds like success." Consequently, I am dedicated to finding the right ways to approach each student, helping them gain some immediate achievements to encourage them, and then using that foundation to build toward mastery. I tutor at any level in Reading, Writing, English and the Language Arts in the Springdale/Fayetteville/Farmington/Lowell etc. area.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
