I grew up speaking Spanish, took high school Spanish for 4 years, took the CLEP exam and earned 14 credit hours. After my first semester at the University of Texas-Commerce, I came home as a sophomore. I graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree, worked in staffing and human resources until I moved out to the country (in Texas) and became a Spanish Teacher. I taught in Texas for 7 years and earned the status of Teacher of the year. I moved to Denver and taught 2 more years until I decided to return to human resources/staffing and I am still doing human resources/staffing to this day.
I have been speaking Spanish primarily in my current position and translate about 7 hours a day. My past work experience in teaching high school students has been to educate students who have a desire to learn a new alternative method, as well as, not allow a student to give up. I would like to see a concerned parent or parents be part of the success of their kids as I have succeeded with mine.
I have an unexpired teaching certificate from the Stare of Texas and an expired license from the State of Colorado. My current position requires that I speak and translate about 7 hours a day. I have a strong passion about the language and after teaching for several years in Texas, earned the Teacher of the Year award.
I would enjoy hablando y ensenado a high school student who wants to learn Spanish from an actual teacher who could teach them different methods of learning and be patient with them. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am qualified to tutor the MS Outlook because I use the program daily to create emails, tasks, calendar events, as well as, follow through with answering emails and setting up appointments and scheduling meeting room events. I have had actual educational classes and experience tutoring and teaching students and parents. Most tutoring methods include hands on applications as well as lesson plans as it relates to this Microsoft product.
I did teach Spanish for 7 years in Texas and two years in Colorado. I still possess a current teaching license in the state of Texas, but my Colorado license did expire. I was awarded the teacher of the year when I taught Spanish, and I was awarded the largest classroom in the school district. In my current position, as a Staffing Supervisor in Bentonville, I speak Spanish for about 7 hours a day.
