Hello! My name is Mrs. C and I LOVE math! What I love even more than math is helping other people "get it." One of the best things a teacher can experience is when she sees the light bulb come on for a kid that has struggled in the past.
I have taught math for the past 11 years. In that time I've taught 7th grade prealgebra, 8th grade math, algebra, geometry, college algebra and college trig. My favorite though is algebra :) I have also tutored students for the past three years and even created a student led tutoring service at my current school. My favorite thing about tutoring is getting to work one on one with students. I learn different misconceptions that kids have and I get to be part of the experience when they "finally" get it!! The best part though is when kids learn that they CAN be successful at mathematics!!
I am a National Board Certified teacher in early adolescent mathematics. I have taught mathematics for 11 years and in that time I have taught all mathematical subjects from 7th grade pre-algebra through college trigonometry. I also have my masters in curriculum and instruction in math education.
I truly love mathematics and enjoy helping students realize that they CAN do it! I am extremely good at breaking down concepts so that all students can learn and be successful. I can meet in person or we can work together via video conferences so wherever you're from I can help :) I look forward to hearing from you! Hello! My name is Mrs. C and I LOVE math! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
