I'm Diane, an enthusiastic educator with 22 years of experience in education. I graduated magma cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and received my Master of Education Degree in Early Childhood. I later pursued studies to complete my coursework in Educational Leadership for PK-12 certification. I have completed coursework hours in Curriculum and Instruction. I have a P-4 certification and an Educational Leader certification for K-12. I have taught grades second through fifth and held the position of Principal.

My career experiences in education include being a substitute teacher, a paraprofessional, a classroom teacher, a tutor, a building administrator, a consultant, and a math specialist. I have served on various school committees whose roles included establishing and reviewing educational goals, standards, and policies. I have more than 15 years of experience as a math tutor. As a tutor, my goal is to work directly with students to improve their understanding of coursework, homework, and test preparation. In this session, I will use research-based strategies to guide students to academic success.

I want to provide a positive and rewarding experience for every child that I service. I will teach and model how to solve standard and real-world word problems using research-based skills and strategies. I will help to build children's reading skills and confidence so that they will thrive.

What qualifies me to be effective is my passion for teaching reading and math. I can quickly identify the knowledge or learning gaps in students. My strong expertise makes me flexible and a good motivator. I hold high expectations for my students. Additionally, I understand individual differences in students.
