Greetings! I have been a classroom teacher in all areas of science for the past 15 years. I currently teach Physics and facilitate our school's EAST program. Recently, I went back to grad school to earn my master's in library media. Additionally, I earned a post-master's certificate in instructional technology. Currently, I am looking to make the move to online teaching, and feel that I can adequately facilitate tutoring using online technology. I would like to start by tutoring in ACT prep, and move towards other subjects later.
I have tutored in the past at my current school, and I loved it. My students always shared their success with me, and said how much easier I made the material seem. Since our school's tutoring funding was cut, I have been looking for other avenues of tutoring.
I have numerous math hours, and I have even looked at a second certification in math.
My first major is science, and I have had numerous math-based sciences.
With 15 years of experience, I have learned students need to learn how to read for content and I have developed many strategies for helping students improve their reading. I am also knowledgeable in these areas from my pursuit of my master's degree.
With my degree in Instructional Technology, I am ready to begin helping you improve your ACT score through online methods. Don't worry if you are not tech savvy at first, I can help you troubleshoot and get you started. Since so many standardized tests are given on a computer these days, you will be even more prepared!
