I am 37 years old and am currently licensed as a pre-k through 4th grade teacher. I began my teaching career at Southern Arkansas University of Technology, where I attended classes, won several awards, graduated with honors and received my Associate's Degree. Next, I attended my education block course at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas. Then, I began teaching kindergarten at Gardner-Strong Elementary. I taught kindergarten for three years, third grade for one year' fourth grade for one year, tutored 5th and 6th grade Math and future 3rd and 4th grade Literacy. I also taught Drama during our summer school program in 2009. I am also a mother of two, my 20 year old is a Strong High School graduate and has her cosmetology license, my 15 year old is in the 10th grade has all pre-college classes and is the gifted and talented program. I have not only assigned and graded homework but I have also done my share of helping my girls with their studies and schoolwork.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
