B.A. University of Arkansas (Spanish)
I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, but have since moved to Little Rock, AR, for my job. I earned a double major in Spanish and Journalism from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
Post-graduation, I moved to Segovia, Spain to teach High School English, Math, and Biology. While there, I lived with a Spanish family who did not speak a word of English - thus vastly advancing my proficiency in the Spanish language. I traveled to many parts of the country during my time there, learning all about the culture, different geographies, and various dialects. I am back in the United States, working as a journalist, but love speaking, writing, and reading Spanish. It would be a joy to tutor in my free-time and help others learn a language that I so love!
I earned my bachelor's degree in Spanish. I then traveled to live in Spain and taught at a Spanish high school there, while living with a Spanish family who did not speak English.
Contact me at any time of day or night! I typically always have my phone on me and am quick to respond to requests. I can tutor any level of Spanish - from very beginner to very advanced. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
