I have previously worked at a learning center (as a page/assistant) and as an independent contractor for A+ Education and Training (working with small groups of Kindergarten students in Bellevue). I also volunteered for a Big Buddy program working with a 1st grade student one-on-one weekly. Additionally, I worked as a Teaching Assistant this past semester, actually teaching at a Nashville university. My areas of interest/expertise are: history, religion, French (beginners), music history and theory, English, theater, and literature (especially Shakespeare). I have a Master's in Theological Studies, a Bachelor's in Religion with a history minor; I also graduated high school with a 3.9 GPA. I've always worked with books, reading, history, theater, and children: teaching or aiding in the learning process. I even worked in a library during high school, and was in charge of the children's book section. I studied Art, Shakespeare and British History in London as well. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a Masters in Theological Studies from Vanderbilt University Divinity School. I maintained a grade-point higher than 3.0 at all times during my time at Vanderbilt. I also took New Testament Studies with world renowned bible scholar A.J. Levine. It was the only thing I studied for three years.
I have a Masters in Theological Studies from Vanderbilt University Divinity School. I majored in Religion during my time in undergrad at Hendrix college as well, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude. I have studied the Bible exegetically, historically, and as a religious document. I also have a certificate form Vanderbilt stating that I specialized in Religion and the Arts in Contemporary Culture. I specifically look at ways in which religion is portrayed in popular culture. I am non-denominatational, and I study all religions, not just Christianity. I have knowledge of world religions, including Buddhism, Islam, and Judaism. These topics are the sole source of study during the last three years of my life. I am dehydrated because I am 70% religion instead of water.
