I'm a recent graduate from the University of Central Arkansas with a major in chemistry and minors in math and honors interdisciplinary studies. I read in my spare time constantly and the things I cherish the most from my education are work ethic and a mind to enjoy learning.
I've tutored kids in K-4th grade for 3 years in the STEP Encourager program and in a YMCA reading program. I have always used the internet to help me learn as much as possible and would help the student find additional resources online as a part of my sessions. I have tested well (ACT-35 overall, 36 in science and reading, PSAT-Nat'l Merit Scholar, GRE-97/81/92nd percentile in Verbal/Quant/Writing -- so maybe my math is slipping as I get older and spend more time on the internet?) and can provide help in preparing for those tests. Open to trying a session first to see if it will work.
Can travel around or meet in the library for sessions. I always will want to help the student prepare for more than just a question on the test but to try and improve their thinking so it helps in many areas going forward and on many tests. If the first session doesn't go as planned, you can have the money back and there will be no more obligation.
