I am experienced in written and oral translations, teaching French, Spanish and English as a Second Language from preschool through adult. I am also an expert lesson planner with near-native fluency speaking French and Spanish. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am currently teaching ESL to adults, and have now, for two years, in Arkansas. I also did this for about 5 years in California. I also have Bilingual Certification (Spanish).
I would be able to teach/tutor any others who are interested, as well as translate.
I teach grammar, speaking, reading and writing, in the target-language.
My lessons are simple, and open to discussion between students and teachers, and simple for any age.
Most grammar lessons correspond to what we learned in elementary school, and allow for reviewing or supporting what was already learned. Most young find that it supports, as well, some released items on the Benchmark exam.
