My name is Stephanie, and I have always had a passion for helping/teaching others. Over the last twenty years, I have trained and tutored children and adults of all ages in subjects that range from all levels of Math, English, Science, Law, Horses, and Basketball. During high school, I tutored fellow students in all subjects. I graduated top of my class as Valedictorian in 1998. I continued tutoring high schools students and began tutoring college students while I acquired my Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and graduated Summa Cum Laude. I then took a break from school and began raising two step-children and helping them with their studies and development. At that time, I thought about going into the military so I took the ASVAB test. I made a 94 out of a possible 99. Instead of pursuing a career with the military, I began working for a local police department as an auxiliary officer and dispatcher and working towards my Master’s degree in Law/Paralegal Studies. During this time, I had a son of my own and started tutoring high school students again. After completing my Master’s degree and remaining on the Dean’s list the entire 2 years, I worked with a local newspaper writing columns and assisting with sales. I then found a job where I was able to work from home for a CPA firm that specifically worked with hospitals, where I used several databases and computer programs. I currently work for a company employing similar professional software. Also, I was raised and currently live on a horse farm. I have extensive experience in training horses and giving riding lessons to adults and children. As you can see, I have a diverse background of knowledge, and I love sharing my knowledge with others and assisting others so that they can shine in their own light.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I started playing basketball on sanctioned teams when I was 10 years old. I continued to play on varsity teams in junior high and high school. I played on intramural teams in college. I have also coached boys and girls club basketball teams for over twelve years.
I have been studying the Bible for over 25 years through church, college courses, and self approach. I have studied it from a religious and historical base, and I also participate in group Bible study. I am well versed in the history behind the Bible lessons, and I have an open mind to all interpretations of the lessons.
