I have taught for fifteen years. I love helping students achieve at the highest level of academics. I motivate students by using positive motivators. The best one being lots of praise which the student must duly earn. I have six years of college level teaching methods courses. I have learned by taking tests myself. I have also learned from others who taught me how to take tests. I have been a tutoring supervisor, I substitute teach, I teach Sunday School and work in AWANA. I have taught first grade for eight years, second grade one year, and fourth grade for three years. I have many co-workers and principals as well as professors tell me I am a natural in the classroom. My team teacher in our VBS this summer of 20ll tell me how good I am and natural I was. I love children, I love to teach, and I love to see them reach their highest potential. I do expect a child to give of their best by being willing to study, to follow directions, and to apply what they learn. I believe my job is to make the student successful so I expect the student will want to study, follow directions and to apply their learning because they will be motivated by me to want to do so. My goal is no child is left behind because every child will be motivated to speed ahead.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I know about various cultures from Maya to Christendom. I continue to update my knowledge by reading and learning through various forms of media. I have taught Ancient History and am a Bible Scholar so; not only do I have a world view but also a Christian View.
I have taught Ancient Egypt as well as other Ancient History Subjects. I also know of the coffins of China seen from the sides of cliffs but also about the deep underground meeting places of various ancient peoples in Central and Southern America. I continue to read and view various up to date information on many peoples all across the world.
I am a Bible Scholar. I not only read just for my own character and integrity, but I also read to try to learn what patterns are repeated and how the present and future is based on the past. I read once everyday and I study in depth as well. For instance, I know in the book of Numbers it tells about the trumpets. I have and am studying how these trumpets and their uses may represent the last trumpet Paul speaks of as well as the trumpets in the book of Revelation.
I have taken the CBEST. I also took a one day course at San Bernardino Calfiornia College to learn the strategies for test takers of the CBEST. I can help with memorization and strategies for the test.
I have taught first grade for eight years, second grade one year, and fourth grade for three years. I also am a substitute teacher who has subbed for three years. I can teach any elementary grade on any subject. I have taught Ancient History, Latin, and Bible as well as the core subjects required in the public schools.
