Bio

My name is Radhika and I am currently a first-year medical student in Arkansas. I first started tutoring high school students about 8 years ago and then I was a volunteer ESL teacher for 4 years to a group of adults. I have completed my undergraduate degree in International Political Economy, my masters in Biomedical Sciences, and am now in medical school. I am well versed in multiple subjects and achieved an ACT score in the top 97% percentile after 2 months of studying. However, I will work with any student at their own pace.

I have set lower rates because I understand what it is like to be a student and how important affordability is. I will work with any student at their own pace. Most importantly, I am a patient tutor that is also supportive. I truly enjoy teaching which is why I was a volunteer teacher for so many years. Each week, I would spend 4 hours tutoring adults and it always provided me with a break from school. I'm looking forward to meeting many students and taking part in their achievement to success.

I have tutored Algebra 2 for many years and taken coursework all the way up to Calculus 3 in college, achieving all A's. I achieved a 35 on the ACT Math section.

I have taught various levels of ESL for 4 years. I have created teaching lessons for a diverse group of adults.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all. Remember that I am here to help you.

ESL/ESOL

My mom started to take ESL classes when I was in middle school. I was able to see her transformation and gained confidence. During college, I wanted to help the surrounding community in some way. I decided to become a volunteer ESL teacher through a program that helped underserved adults, all of whom were immigrants. I taught a weekly ESL class every week for 8 semesters with a variety of other volunteer teachers that were retired professionals. I was able to learn greatly from them and become the best volunteer teacher that I could be. I related to them because of what I had seen my mom go through, I tailored to their needs and saw great improvement. Teaching ESL will always remain close to me.

Elementary Math

From ages 6-16, I was enrolled in Kumon, a well-known math and tutoring company. I observed what methods were most effective for students of all ages. As I grew older, I began tutoring my younger cousins and then transitioned to elementary and middle school students. I work well with children and enjoy teaching them as I know the importance of having a good foundation. I am able to explain math concepts by using day-to-day examples so that they are able to make connections and eventually solve problems themselves by initially taking the correct approach.
