Bio

Hello! My name is Daniel and I am currently a junior at the University of Arkansas. Filled with ambition, I am the only student in the University’s history to declare a quadruple major. I am pursing a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Criminal Justice, Sociology and Spanish and plan to fulfill a career in law as a federal judge. When it comes to tutoring, I believe I have an equal amount of tenacity in ensuring the success of those in need of academic support.

I first began tutoring in junior high and ultimately became a district tutor while living in Pennsylvania. I covered multiple subject areas, primarily focusing on English and writing, Spanish and intermediate mathematics (i.e. geometry and algebra). Soon after I started tutoring, I founded several clubs whose sole purpose was to be a service to students in need of assistance in any subject. To this day, those clubs still exist and now reach out to more students and nearly every school within the district. For my efforts in guaranteeing that other students excelled in their coursework (and other deciding factors), I was awarded the Pennsylvania State Senator Good Citizenship Award. I mention that not as a bragging point, but as an example of dedication to higher learning and accomplishment.

Tutoring has always been a passion of mine, and I intend on having an even greater devotion to the advancement of others as I myself grow. For me, tutoring is far more than showing students how to get better at one particular subject or another; it is a commitment. For me, it is always about acting on an opportunity to help others thrive, compelling me to sacrifice my own needs for the improvement of those in need. I am always here to help, so students and parents alike – you are welcome to ask me any questions! I look forward to working and learning with you!

Throughout my educational career thus far, I have never received a grade less than an A in any English course. In high school, I took two (2) Advanced Placement (AP) English courses and passed both of the AP exams. On the ACT, I scored a 28 on the English section (highest is a 36) and a 10 on the writing component (highest is a 12). While those scores may not be the best, I believe I have improved significantly!

Microsoft Word is a program that nearly all people in an educational setting or work environment will use at least once. With my job background and educational status, I have used Microsoft Word more times than I can remember and have become accustomed to its properties. Additionally, as a computer lab technician for my university, I have addressed several questions regarding Microsoft Word (and other Microsoft Office applications) and am well-versed in its functions.

Seeing that two of my majors are Criminal Justice and Political Science, I have learned and continue to learn much in regards to these subjects. Additionally, I focused on courses relating to these fields and was even involved in academic competitions state-wide and academic and political clubs/organizations.

Everyone needs help sometimes, and there is no need in feeling ashamed of admitting it. Besides, your education is nothing to sell yourself short out of. I can't speak for the people in your life, but I for one truly want to see you do more than succeed: I want you to exceed the expectations and go beyond your own limitations. Don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions comments or concerns! Whenever you need assistance, let me know and we can work something out!

I am currently majoring in Criminal Justice and my GPA for this major is a 3.7. Throughout my educational career, I have not received a grade less than an A in any Criminal Justice or criminal justice related course. As a future defense attorney and ultimately federal judge, I have taken it upon myself to become educated on areas that pertain to criminal justice including the sentencing process, prison systems, etc. Furthermore, I have received advice and educational pointers from several accomplished individuals in the criminal justice field, such as the Texas Attorney General and a former Arkansas Assistant District Attorney.
