I hold a doctorate in Higher Education Administration (EdD) from the University of Arkansas, where I worked with international students for 5 years, and have taught for Crowder College in Missouri for the past 12 years. My expertise is in writing and publishing academic books, and in teaching art courses online. As I am now an "empty nester" I hope to work independently and help aspiring faculty or students in their future pursuits toward writing or art.
I have published five academic/scholarly books with two major presses, Macmillan Publishing and Routledge Publishing, on the topics of international higher education exchange. I also published a guidebook for faculty on the topic of online teaching, which was published by the American Association of Community Colleges. In addition, I have written and published several professional articles that have been printed in academic journals. I have strong writing skills, and experience with getting books published, and I hope to pass these things along to aspiring academic writers.
I have taught art history and appreciation for Crowder College in Missouri, where I am currently employed. I have taught these courses online for the past 12 years and have outstanding evaluations from my students. I would love to share this knowledge with faculty who wish to learn the online environment, or with students of art.
My hope is to pass along many years of writing experience and art instruction. I love working with students and look forward to hearing your educational needs, and how I may help you. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
