A father of 3 with advanced education seeking opportunities to help those struggling with subjects in school. I have experience as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Central Arkansas teaching courses and several opportunities presenting information in a teaching manner often involving a large audience.
I bring patience and a creative mind to facilitate learning. I listen for barriers that may hinder the student from comprehending the information and remove those so that student can obtain skills to solve problems. I am also a coach, providing various methods of motivation while promoting confidence.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I played baseball my entire childhood from T-ball until high school. I have also coached baseball teams for the past 5 years ages 5-10. I focus on fundamental techniques before moving forward with advanced performance enhancing practices.
A vast majority of my professional career has revolved around the kitchen as Executive Chef, General Manager, and Kitchen Manager. I do most of the cooking in my house for a family of 5. I recently graduated with my MS in Nutrition.
During completion of my diploma, my focus was drawing and art with acceptance to state competition and receiving one award from the Burrell Hamilton competition. Upon entering my secondary education, I was again featured in several collegiate art shows. During the final presentation for my BA degree (graphic design) I sold many pieces of artwork.
My MS in nutrition has allowed me to gain valuable information regarding fitness. Specifically, my graduate-level courses have focused on sports nutrition. Using the Healthy Guidelines for Americans 2010, I can provide scientific evidence behind the benefits of physical acitivity and how to incorporate exercise into daily living.
As a highschool football player, I learned the basics for fundamental techniques. I played lineman positions on offense and defense. I can provide sound rule and regulation procedures for most levels of football.
I received my BA-graphic design from the University of Central Arkansas in '04. I continue to use those skills today creating educational material to be used by various facilities for many different reasons. I am comfortable using Abode Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Power Point. Quark Express, and Word.
I have used Windows as my primary resource to produce a vast majority of my completed projects during school.
I have a very extensive background working with food. Most importantly, I have recently completed my requirements for a MS in nutrition. I will be available to sit for the RD exam by September '15.
During high school, 1 particular piece of artwork received state recognition for watercolor. I have very strong skills with acrylic, watercolor, color pencil, and pastels. During my secondary education in pursuit of my BA, I completed several courses involving paint and color schemes. I am confident that I can provide skills sets to those seeking guidance and confidence in painting.
As a leader in several organizations on campus, I am required to lead meetings, share information at events, and present community assessments. I have presented material with audiences approaching 50 attendees. I have also conducted numerous demonstrations in closed and open settings.
During my graduate classes, I was provided many tools to assist with increasing retention of study material. Using Bloom's Taxonomy is a great way to identify the learning needs of the student. Identifying how the student learns is key to providing efficacy and the drive to pass any test.
