I recently completed a degree in Physics and I continue to do research in theoretical particle physics. While completing my degree, I was a student grader and peer facilitator for physics classes including algebra based physics, thermal physics, and quantum mechanics. I set up tutoring hours each week so that students could ask me questions about homework, lectures, and the mathematics required to succeed in the courses.

While completing my degree, I was a student grader and peer facilitator for physics classes including algebra based physics, thermal physics, and quantum mechanics. I set up tutoring hours each week so that students could ask me questions about homework, lectures, and the mathematics required to succeed in the courses.

A degree in physics requires knowledge in a vast number of subjects from chemistry to computer science to scientific writing. Being successful means working with peers and exchanging ideas on a regular basis. My favorite part of the program was discussing difficult problems with a group and rephrasing each point until everyone understood. I often found when tutoring that a student would view a topic from a viewpoint I hadn't considered before. For that reason, I think teaching material is the most important stage of the learning process.

I've taken a lot of math. In my research I regularly use Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Differential Equations, and some Linear Algebra.

I have a Bachelor's degree in physics during which I took all of the core classes and every physics elective I could fit into my schedule. I took calculus based physics, but tutored for an algebra based physics course, so I am comfortable tutoring for either one. I did research in laser interferometry, magnesium battery theory, semiconductor physics, and finally quantum chromodynamics phenomenology.

Please reach out to me if you have any questions or if you would like to schedule a tutoring session. I'll do my best to respond quickly.
