I have tutored in Essay Writing, Science, Math (Algebra, Statistics, Trigonometry). English and Reading Comprehension. As an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University I taught basic science (Biology, Lab Experiments Writing, Nutrition). I have tutored students for AP Tests in Economics (Micro and Macro), AP Calculus AB and BC, AP Environmental Science, AP English Language and Composition,AP Statistics and AP Comparative Government and Politics. Of course, I also tutor and support last minute homework assignments.

My tutoring approach is one of positive reinforcement, time management and planning for the student to reach their dream school and post-graduate college. Our work is one of focus, dedication, and fun in learning! The students learn the basics to use critical reasoning in presenting their project, application or homework assignment with confidence. Planned preparation, study and lesson plans leaves the student with readiness to tackle the college entrance path and journey!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Finance

I achieved the highest score in my MBA class in Quantitative Analysis, 100%. In addition, I have worked in the Finance industry for 20 years with an emphasis on in-class case work of large corporations and governmental agencies.

In the field, I have worked with large corporations and small businesses on their financial statements, prospectus for funding, financial projections, and operational strategies. A focus has been on their profit and loss as well as tax implications of major equipment and building acquisitions. I find it very satisfying to assist companies in their growth and preparation for the unknown economics of their industry.

Personally, I am a self-directed , driven professional aspiring to instill in students the drive to succeed and excel both in the classroom and in the corporate world.
