My name is Alisha. I have a B.S. in Mathematics education as well as an M ED in Mathematics both from the University of West Alabama. I graduated in 2015 and 2018 respectively. I have had a valid teaching certificate since January of 2016.

I have been teaching since January of 2016. 7 years of teaching math to 7th - 12th grade students. I started tutoring math when I was in the 7th grade myself so that is 15 years of tutoring experience. I have taught 7th grade, 8th grade, Geometry, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Algebraic Connections, Algebra with Finance, and ACT Prep. While I’m college I tutored in our math department everything from remedial algebra to Calculus 3. I have extensive training with AMSTI which is an organization in Alabama that helps math and science teachers teach in more hands on ways.

I have taught in a school where I had 30+ students in a class and also in a school where there are 7 students in a class. I have tutored a group of students working on the same subject as well as a single student. I have helped students from Kindergarten all through college courses.
