Excellent tutor, very knowledgeable and patient

Mr. Barry helped me tremendously in grasping concepts in Mendelian Genetics including problems including probability, punnet squares, Chi squares, Hardy Weinberg principle and more. He is always well prepared and really explains concepts clearly as well as quiz and test taking strategies. I feel much more confident now taking the course. I highly recommend Mr. Barry as a tutor!

Patient, Knowledgeable & Passionate!

Barry helped me better understand genetics before my final, at the very last minute. We experienced some technical difficulties and yet it did not stop him from teaching and making sure I understood the subject, which showed me that he is passionate about what he does! Very knowledgeable as well, left time for me to answer questions and make sure I understood the topics before moving on to the next one and very patient when I had a question in the middle of a lesson, he would answer it! Thank you, Barry!

Approachable and helpful!

Barry was the perfect tutor to help me with my assignment. I had NO idea where to start, but after our online lesson I have half of my assignment completed and know where to go from here. His calm demeanor eased my nerves and helped me understand the topic more!

Thorough, and effective tutor

Barry really helps with the specifics where my daughter needs guidance, but also makes sure she understands the bigger picture so that she has a well rounded understanding of the topic. He has a patient, caring tone and is clearly very knowledgeable. He gave her some excellent test taking tips too! Definitely recommended.

Just want we needed!

Barry was extremely knowledgeable! My son actually commented how nice it was to have someone he could talk to and ask questions. He said it’s the first time he was ever really ‘taught’ biology. Barry went out of his way to make my son become comfortable with the online process and prompted him to become more interactive so he could understand exactly how to help him better. Finally, we both feel there is a way forward to get through Honors Biology! Looking forward to more sessions to conquer FRQ’s.

Great tutor

Barry is helping with learning the process for writing FRQs for AP Environmental Science. He provided help choosing the prompts that matched progress in the course so far, taught techniques for learning how to self-evaluate, and focused the session very well. Thank you!
