I can't wait to help your child improve their study skills, grow their vocabulary, and succeed in school! I graduated magna cum laude from Furman University in 2013 where I majored in Psychology and Political Science. Additionally, my liberal arts education exposed me to a wide variety of academic disciplines (including Spanish, statistics, fine arts, literature, and fundamentals of natural sciences),and makes me a great resource for you.
In addition to my own academic achievements, I have helped others with their scholastic pursuits. I have experience tutoring in undergraduate classes where I regularly met with students who needed guidance with classes both pertinent to and unrelated to my majors. I was a popular "study buddy" because of my personal dedication to school work, encouraging attitude, and breadth and depth of knowledge.
I also have experience helping elementary age children from my experience as a Boys and Girls Club volunteer. As a volunteer, I taught kids aged 6-16 about scientific concepts through interactive experiments.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
