As an educator, I strive to customize my sessions to each person's needs, making sure that special arrangements are made to help students with their unique challenges, allowing them to excel in the subjects they find difficult. By helping my students to find their own approaches to the subjects, the students not only learn more quickly, but they begin to feel more confident as they achieve their personal goals.
Before we begin our sessions together, I would like my students to know something about me. I have tutored at several locations, including the University of South Alabama and St. Mary's Home. I am currently the director and owner of Commedia del Arte Traveling Players. I have written four books on the subject of King Arthur, and I am currently seeking publication for these as well as a new book written for young adult readers. I have also studied four different styles of martial arts, including Kung Fu, Shodokan Karate, and Tai Chi, both 72 and 24 styles. I have performed and taught ballet, jazz, and lyrical and medieval dance for many years.
I have always loved learning and helping others to love learning as much as I do. Some of the tools that enable me as a teacher include four degrees from the University of South Alabama in Drama and Music, History, Spanish, and English/Literature. I also love the arts in any form, and as a result of my theatre training, I have also learned to sew and embroider, allowing me to produce professional quality costumes and accessories.
I look forward to meeting my students and to helping them to reach any goal they may have set for themselves. More than anything, I believe it is not impossible to succeed as long as you remain curious and seek out fresh perspectives.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
