I studied math for my undergraduate degree at Athens State University minor in physics. I studied math education for my masters degree at Alabama A & M university. I have taught math at Huntsville City Schools, Gadsden City Schools, as well as Cornerstone Christian Academy. I worked in the math lab while in undergraduate school at Athens State University for 2 years.
On a more personal note, I love the outdoors. That mean a day on the river or lake or simply a walk through the woods. I love kayaking and white water rafting.
I love seeing my students (that generally come in confused) leaving with a good understanding of the topic at hand. Teaching is simply about the satisfaction of a student's understanding of the subject matter.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
