Hi, I'm Ms. B! I have been teaching middle school for over 19 years! I have experience teaching math, science, reading, English, and literature. I have a passion for teaching students and helping them grow and succeed. Though I have experience teaching in a classroom setting, I also find tutoring and small group learning environments extremely rewarding.
I am a teacher, but I also love to learn myself. I have received my Bachelor's, Master's, and also a Specialist's degree in education and have continued to stay up to date with teaching technology and current educational resources. Over my many years of teaching, I have worked with so many wonderful students, and hope that I can continue to help others reach their goals.
I am a certified math teacher and have had experience working with elementary aged students. I use differentiation, modeling, and many other instructional techniques to teach my students.
I taught English and reading for several years and enjoyed it immensely. I have always had a passion for literature and continue to read in my spare time.
My experience teaching in a public school setting has made me extremely familiar with Common Core. They were included daily into my personal, school's, and state's curriculum.
Like math and reading, I enjoy teaching science as well. I taught science in the classroom for several semesters and found it very interesting. I love to think abstractly and logically about scientific principles and concepts and explain them to students in real world applications.
I truly love teaching and connecting with my students. I am a fun, creative, and caring teacher that loves to see their students succeed and thrive. I would personally be thrilled to help you reach your goals! If you would like to work as a team please contact me to gain more information. Hi, I'm Ms. B! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
